Schemes being implemented through the Department of Women and Child Welfare
- Supplemental Nutrition Diet Scheme.
Benefit is given to all the beneficiaries of the Anganwadi.
- Grant for Women Child Welfare Committee.
Shemes decided by the committee are implemented.
- Adarsh Anganwadi Sevika Award.
A reward of Rs.5000/- is given to the best performing Sevika in the district.
Various gatherings are held at District level, Project level and Anganwadi level.
- Running Women Counseling Center :-
As per approval of Commission for Women under Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, under Zilla Parishad, Salokha Counseling Centers at the taluka level 1, Darwa, Ner, Babhulgaon total 4 counselling centers have been established at District level. This counseling center provides social, psychological, and legal counseling and assistance to women in rural areas who are victims of domestic violence, sexual harassment, and other forms of abuse, as well as those who are mentally distressed/unbalanced. The center works to help them in seeking justice and receive the necessary support.
A coordinator and a legal expert are being appointed by the respective counseling centers for these counseling centers and for their honorarium, the fund is provided from the Zilla Parishad cess, at the rate of Rs. 9,000 per month at the taluka level and Rs. 12,000 per month at the district level for both the coordinator and the legal expert separately.
- Vocational technical training for girls and women :-
In order to make the girls and women of rural areas professionally competent, a scheme to provide training of beauty parlour, sewing is implemented.
Eligibility Conditions :-
- Beneficiaries who have completed the training will get 90% subsidy and 10% beneficiary share;
- It will be necessary to submit a certificate from the institution stating that the training has been satisfactorily completed;
- The annual family income limit of the beneficiary should be up to Rs. 120000/. Income certificate from the Tehsildar;
- The trainee should be a girl or a woman from a rural area;
- The beneficiary is selected by the Women and Child Welfare Committee;
- A Government recognized institution is selected for training through e-tender and training is provided to the selected beneficiaries through them;
- 90% subsidy will be given to the institution excluding 10% beneficiary share.
- Providing sewing machines to women in rural areas:-
Providing sewing machines to girls and women in rural areas to make them self-reliant.
Eligibility criteria for beneficiary selection:-
- The annual family income limit of the beneficiary should be up to Rs. 120000/-. Income certificate from the Tehsildar;
- The beneficiary will be required to submit a certificate from the institution that he has satisfactorily completed the sewing class training;
- The selected beneficiaries will be required to pay 10% as beneficiary share;
- Residence certificate, caste certificate must be attached with the application;
- Documents required in accordance with DBT;
- Providing supplementary food to pregnant and lactating mothers in rural areas :-
This scheme is implemented through the department to provide supplementary nutrition to pregnant and lactating mothers in rural areas to increase the hemoglobin level in the body and reduce the level of malnutrition in pregnant and lactating mothers registered in Anganwadi centers.

- chase of materials for Anganwadi Centers:-
Purchasing various useful materials for Anganwadi Centers in the district as per the government resolution dated 24th January 2014 for Anganwadi.
Similarly, from the grants received from the Women and Child Welfare Committee, Zilla Parishad, Yavatmal, Zilla Parishad, District Planning Committee and Government, various schemes as per the government resolution dated 24th January 2014 are implemented from time to time.
This scheme has been started from 1.4.2023 for the empowerment of girl child. In families with yellow and orange ration cards, after the birth of a girl child, the subsidy will be given in a phased manner and after the age of 18 years, the beneficiary girl child will be given Rs. 75 thousand in cash.
Rs.5000/- on birth of girl child
Rs.6000/- when the girl child enters first standard
Rs.7000/- when the girl child enters 6th standard
Rs.8000/- when the girl child enters 11th standard
Rs.75000/- on completion of 18 years of age of girl child
A total benefit of Rs. 101000/- will be given.
Terms and conditions of the scheme –
- This scheme will be applicable to one or two girls born on or after 1.4.2023 in the Yellow and Orange ration card holder families. Also, if there is one boy and one girl, it will be applicable to the girl.
- It is mandatory for the mother/father to submit a family planning surgery certificate while submitting the application for the third installment of the first child and the second installment of the second child.
- Also, if twins are born during the second delivery, one or both girls will be eligible for the benefit of this scheme. However, after that, it will be necessary for the mother/father to undergo a family planning surgery.
- The beneficiary family must be a resident of the state of Maharashtra.
- The annual income of the beneficiary family should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh.
