    Finance Department,Zilla Parishad, Yavatmal

    The Finance Department is one of the department of the Zilla Parishad. To prepare the annual finance budget of the Zilla Parishad and present it to the General Meeting of the Zilla Parishad as per the recommendation of the Finance Committee. To keep a close watch on the financial affairs of the Zilla Parishad, to take necessary measures to keep the financial situation in place. To ensure that adequate funds are available to implement various schemes of public welfare being implemented by the Zilla Parishad. Also work on the cases of group insurance scheme received from various departments of the Zilla Parishad, provident fund, pension cases, as well as various schemes, development work proposals received advice for administrative and tender approval asper government guidelines, circulars decisions and Maharashtra Zilla Parishad Accounts Code 1968 and should be submit to the competent authority.

    Finance Department Subject-wise Desk

    No direct service is provided to the citizens by the Finance Department of the Zilla Parishad, however, in connection with the financial services matters, the finance department is financial advisor to the various departments of the Zilla Parishad and maintenance of financial accounts of Zilla Parishad.

    Purpose :-

    1. 1. To give advice on various financial matters proposals:-
    2. Various development works are carried out by the District Council Department from the grants received from the State Government and Zilla Parishad funds. After receiving the payments and proposals of these development works and schemes from the Department, as per the government guidelines, circulars, decisions and accounts code towards various department files and proposal as submitted to authority with remark.

    3. 2.Pension:-
    4. After receiving the proposal for approval of pension of retired employees from zilla parishad, examine the proposal and if approved issuance of pension payment order, commutation payment order as per applicability is done is done by pension branch.

    5. 3.DCRG:-
    6. Issuance of Gratuity payment order as per applicability is done by pension section.

    7. 4.Provident Fund:-
    8. Maintenance of GPF accounts and Disbursement of advances and withdraw as per ZP GPF act.

    9. 5.Group Insurance Scheme:-
    10. Clearance of GIS claims of retired or expired employees and sent to treasury for payment.

    11. 6.Internal Audit:-
    12. The Internal Audit Department conducts taluka-wise audit. Audit is started after the end of the financial year. Prior to that, due to the audit conducted by the Finance Department, errors in financial operations, incomplete records are completed, timely action is taken if there are irregularities, all accounting records are updated, etc. are completed. Therefore, there are minimum objections in the Local Fund Audit.
