Regarding the Department Information :-
Zilla Parishad Yavatmal was established on 1 May 1962 and since then the Education Department has been functioning in the Zilla Parishad. Earlier, there was only one Education Department in this Zilla Parishad. However, since the area of the district is large and there are a total of 16 P.S., a total of 2 departments were created under this Zilla Parishad, namely Education Department (Primary) and Education Department (Secondary). The work of educational development of students is done through this department. The Education Officer (Primary) is the head of this department and there are three branches in this department to carry out the work done by the department properly and efficiently.

- Establishment Division:- In the establishment Division, the work of transfers, promotions of teachers, service matters of employees, leave matters, annual salary increment, salary payments, travel allowance payments, salary fixation, retirement matters, transfers, appointments, promotions, provident fund, correspondence etc. is done.
- Accounts Division:- In the accounts Division, the allocation is made to all the Panchayat Samiti as per the funds received. The work of transferring payments, recording, keeping accounts, purchasing goods in the warehouse Division, keeping accounts etc. is done.
- Pension Division:- In the pension Division, the work of pension, partial payment, gratuity, leave encashment, approval of senior category, selection category and etc. of the teachers who have retired from the service of 16 Panchayat Samiti is done.
